VenueThe course will be held in the Seminar House "Zündholzfabrik" in the little old town Lauenburg, which is located close to the city of Hamburg in northern Germany, about 50 km upstream the river Elbe from Hamburg. Costs and RequirementsThe training course itself is free of charge Costs for accommodation and all meals for the course from Monday through Friday are 300 Euros for single bed rooms and 250 Euros for double bed rooms. Requirements Each participant has to bring his laptop computer. Software which will be used is a spreadsheet program (OpenOffice or Excel) and Scilab. OpenOffice can be downloaded from www.openoffice.org and Scilab from www.scilab.org. |
How to reach the Zündholzfabrik from Hamburg AirportIn the arrival hall look for the S-Bahn (metro) sign (S), station is in the airport building. Buy a ticket at the ticket machine at the entrance to station, (5.80 Euro), here select destination outside Hamburg, Lauenburg, you can pay cash or by credit card Take the train until station "Berliner Tor", there look for the bus station for Bus line 31, you can use the same ticket. This bus brings you directly to Lauenburg, traveltime from airport to Lauenburg 1h45m (if close connection). Leave the bus at station "Albinusstraße" from there walk (15 minutes) downhill to the Zünholzfabrik (s. map), Alternatively leave the bus at the final station (1 more) and take a taxi.
